What board is best for you?

Introducing Sleep's "What board is best for you" Buying Guide, designed to help you select the perfect snowboard for your shred needs! With all of the options available, this guide will simplify the process of finding your ideal Sleep board and get you ready to conquer the mountain in style.

Consider the following factors when purchasing a snowboard:

1. Terrain

Where do you plan to ride the most? Whether it's all mountain and powder, park and street, halfpipe and jumps, or cruising groomers, choose a snowboard that aligns with your preferred terrain. Refer to the Terrain Performance charts for each board to understand its function and optimal performance.

2. Size
Select the appropriate snowboard size based on your weight and height. Consult our size guide, which is linked to each board for easy reference during your shopping.

3. Construction
Examine the shape, flex, and camber of each board. These elements influence how each snowboard will ride.

4. Graphics
Choose a snowboard with graphics that you like! While it may seem that graphics would not affect the board's performance, they actually do contribute to the overall experience of riding a snowboard. Bottom line, if you like the way a board looks, it'll like you back, and that will make snowboarding that much more fun and awesome!

First things First

FLEX

All Sleep snowboards are manufactured to fit a precise flex profile.

Lower numbered flexes represent softer, more playful snowboard decks perfect for jibbing, rails, park, and also for those boarders who are just starting out.

Higher numbers on the flex meter indicate that a board has more stiffness and structure applied to it's construction. These boards will have more pop, be more responsive, and be really good for going really fast, riding big terrain, and taking charge!

Slide the flex icon below, from side to side, for some extra fun and understanding of the flex meter's function.

Cambers

The camber of a snowboard refers to the bend or profile of the board when it is lying flat on the ground and viewed from the side. This bend significantly influences the board's characteristics and behavior, affecting playfulness, responsiveness, and flex.

Sleep offers a selection of 4 specialized camber profiles for snowboarders to choose from, each with its own unique characteristics and performance attributes.

A super fun ride built with a hybrid camber to create that perfect mix of playfulness & response. Designed to provide all-around shredability, for every ability.

Our MegaPow Camber is an absolute game-changer!

With its directional and set-back design, you'll experience enhanced maneuverability and stability, allowing you to float effortlessly atop deep powder like never before.

It's unique profile also provides increased edge hold for responsive turns, making it perfect for laying into adrenaline-pumping carves in fresh pow and on freshly groomed corduroy as well. This board is designed to give you the best freeride days you could possibly imagine, with its versatility and performance across various snow conditions.

Terrain Performance

Terrain Performance charts give our customers a good idea of what each individual board is designed for.

A 10 on a terrain’s performance chart means that this particular snowboard is designed to specialize in that type of terrain. A lower number on a terrain chart indicates less of an emphasis on that type of specific terrain.

While Sleep Boards function great on all terrain types we design certain decks to be best geared toward the types of terrain it’s rider likes to snowboard on.

Use these Terrain Performance charts to find the board of your dreams!
